How To Get Started With Astrology

If you want an introduction that will teach you how astrology works and how it can affect your life, keep reading. We'll take you step by step through what astrological signs are, where they come from and how they influence your life. At first glance, learning about astrology might seem like one of those Why? Because I said so situations, but stick with us—and a little practice—and we promise that understanding astrology will bring clarity into your everyday experiences! (Don't worry, we won't say things like the stars made me do it or anything.) It's not magic, but it does have its perks. And no matter who you are or what sign you were born under, there's something in here for everyone! (But don't let that stop you from signing up for our newsletter!) Let's get started... First off, what is astrology? The short answer is that astrology is based on studying celestial bodies in order to make predictions about human behavior and events here on Earth. There's much more to it than just horoscopes; Western culture has traditionally used astronomy as a means of explaining natural phenomena as well as predicting future events.

The 12 Zodiac Signs

You’re probably already familiar with some or most of these. They include Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Each sign is associated with a particular set of personality traits. The best way to explore them yourself is by getting a detailed look at your birth chart. As you learn more about your sign and its meaning—including where it falls in relation to other signs—you’ll get a clearer picture of your inner strengths and weaknesses. Remember that astrology isn’t an exact science; it just describes tendencies based on certain key planetary alignments at certain points in time. It’s not meant to be used as a means of determining what will happen in your life, but rather as a way of helping you understand why things happen. Understanding astrology can help you better prepare for challenges ahead, whether they’re big or small. It can also help you better understand yourself and others around you.

The 4 Elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water)

Understanding Astrology for beginners begins with learning about four elements that make up your astrological sign. Each element can be thought of as a social, physical, and emotional characteristic that you possess. Understanding how each element affects you individually is key to understanding how astrology impacts your life. Additionally, these characteristics are also used in traditional healing methods such as Reiki, which has roots in ancient India, Japan, and China. Astrologers often work alongside Reiki practitioners because their healing modalities complement one another well. While Western medicine emphasizes man-made drugs and pharmaceuticals for both treatment and prevention, alternative forms of medicine like Chinese Medicine focus on balance within our bodies instead—meaning we treat symptoms by going after their causes rather than covering them up with chemicals. Similarly, astrology helps us understand ourselves better so we can achieve a greater sense of inner peace and harmony with others. Let's take a look at what each element means: Fire: People born under fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) tend to be extroverted individuals who are passionate about life. They enjoy being around people and thrive when they have an audience or group surrounding them. Fire signs tend to have strong personalities that aren't afraid to speak their minds or stand out from the crowd. Because they're so outgoing, they're great leaders who don't mind taking charge when necessary. The downside to having a fiery personality is that it can sometimes lead to anger issues, impatience, and impulsive behavior. Earth: The earth element describes those who are more grounded in reality and value practicality over daydreaming. These people tend to be very pragmatic and realistic thinkers; however, they're not without their quirks! Earth signs often have quirky senses of humor or just plain weird tendencies. And while some may see these traits as negative, earth signs see them as endearing qualities worth embracing. Air: Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are highly intelligent individuals who love knowledge for their own sake. They love studying everything from history to science fiction books—and everything in between! Their insatiable curiosity leads them to constantly learn new things, which makes air signs fantastic teachers and mentors. However, there's a fine line between curious and nosy, and air signs might cross it now and then. Water: Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) are known for their sensitivity and empathy towards others. They care deeply about making sure everyone feels safe and loved; however, sometimes water signs go too far with their kindnesses by trying to please everyone all of the time. This can cause them to feel drained emotionally since they put so much energy into making sure everyone else is happy before themselves. However, water signs' selflessness makes them excellent caregivers who provide comfort during times of need.

The 7 Planets in Astrology

There are seven planets in astrology, each with a corresponding color, metal, chakra, and element. Aries is ruled by Mars and is associated with red, iron, and fire. Taurus is ruled by Venus and associated with yellow, copper, and earth. Gemini is ruled by Mercury and associated with blue, zinc, and air. Cancer is ruled by The Moon and associated with green, silver, and water. Leo is ruled by The Sun and associated with orange, gold, and fire. Virgo is ruled by Mercury and associated with purple, quicksilver (mercury), and earth. Libra is ruled by Venus and associated with pink, copper, and air. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto (also known as Mars) and is associated with black, coal, or obsidian (volcanic glass)and water. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter and associated with indigo, tin, and fire. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and associated with brown, lead, and earth. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus (also known as Saturn) and is associated with turquoise, uranium (unobtainium), and air. Pisces is ruled by Neptune (also known as Jupiter) and is associated with white or silver metals such as platinum or mercury mixed with nickel. And that's it! You can get more specific than just colors and elements for your chart, but for an introduction to astrology for beginners, I find these basics enough. It's also important to note that many people believe that Chiron should be included among these seven planets due to its importance in understanding what lies beneath the surface of all things in our lives.

What Is The Sun Sign?

The sun sign is a horoscope term referring to your sun sign or sun star sign. Your sun is our Sun and your placement depends on which day you were born. Today, there are 12 zodiac signs (each with 30 degrees). The astrological first house always starts with Aries (air), the second starts with Taurus (earth), the third with Gemini (air), the fourth with Cancer (water), the fifth with Leo (fire), sixth will be Virgo (earth) and so on until it ends in Pisces at the twelfth house. Now that you know what your sun sign is: what does it mean? The sun sign represents one's personality and appearance. It also shows areas where they can succeed as well as things they may struggle with. So if you're an ambitious individual who wants to become successful in life, it's a good idea to look into yourself more deeply and understand what exactly your horoscope says about you before starting. If anything, understanding astrology for beginners can help people understand themselves better while helping them plan their future more effectively too! Understanding astrology for beginners can be quite useful when making plans for a new business.

What Are Moon Signs?

Moon signs are simply an aspect of astrology that measures which sign a person’s moon is in when they are born. There are 12 moon signs and each has been assigned a particular time frame in which it applies to an individual. Moon signs offer us insight into how people interact, how they react emotionally and physically, and how their behaviors reflect changes in their lives over time. These attributes can be used as a way for you to better understand yourself and gain insights into your behaviors and personalities as well as those of others around you. Understanding astrology for beginners will help you understand how everything from your past relationships to your habits affects who you are today.

What Is An Ascendant?

The astrological ascendant is often known as one's rising sign or asc. This is because, in a horoscope, it appears directly above your name, and rises into view as you read from left to right. Also called Ascendant (or MC) for short, it represents your place of birth—the literal ascension into physical life. A horoscope cannot be properly drawn without including your asc., as its position will strongly influence what kind of energy you bring into any given situation. If you were born at night, when there was no sun overhead, your asc. will reflect that. If you were born at sea, on a boat with no horizon around you, again that would affect how others perceive you when they look at your chart. The astrological ascendant shows us how we physically interact with our environment and other people in our lives; it also reveals some of our innate talents and gifts along with our strengths and weaknesses—what we need to work on most if we want to achieve balance within ourselves. In many ways, learning about where your ascendant lies is like reading an instruction manual for who you are!
