December transits including the planetary aspects of Venus, the Sun, and Mercury

The year isn’t over yet! There is a full solar eclipse and a new moon in Sagittarius ready to greet us on the 4th of December. The new moon is a good time to set intentions and practice rituals which we can even expect to see results in by the full moon.

12/11 may prove a day of feels for you, as Venus will be conjuncting pluto here before going retrograde in Capricorn on 12/19. Don’t confuse time to reflect with setbacks. You may be encouraged to take stock of a relationship, romantic interest, business venture, or other attachments and clean house of that which no longer serves its purpose on your journey. People from your romantic pass may also pop back up, or leave you ultra reminiscient of the past. While the nostalgia of the past has its place, use that Sagittarian attitude to expand your feelings to the present: you are not the same person you were when you loved then.

The arrow of this fiery sign has no problem with directness, and you may be reminded after this blast from the past that things did not work out for a reason (a second conjunction may have you right back in your feels on the 25th, feeling more deeply and sensitively). While bonding with a current loved one may prove difficult, nontraditional relationships may see this as a time of thriving.

The winter equinox on the 21st brings the sun into Capricorn, shifting the collective energy from the get-it-done directness of Sag to one of cold practicality. Mercury beats the Sun here, arriving on the 13th, so be ready for money matters to make more sense for this transition. If you’ve been spending without intention, you may pull way back here and keep harder track of your dollars around here.

A new money making opportunity is likely to present itself during this transit as well. Even before this Mercurial shift, we can find Mercury making a sextile with Sagittarius’ lucky planet Jupiter on 12/11. Some pollyanna optimism, successful short trips, and getting your point across easy will make this a time to look forward to. Negotiate your contracts here!

Any love you were holding back during that Venus retrograde can come spilling out before it goes direct again on New Year’s day, as Mercury conjunct Venus will prove a positive time to tell somebody you love them, even if it’s for the first time. The following day, on the 30th, Mercury will be conjuncting Pluto in the year’s finale, as the cold planet forces an hidden information to bubble to the surface right before 2022
